In the past, I've always gotten beautiful cakes here. I always order for the holidays, and love getting halfmoon cakes for special occasions. I was upset with my recent order though. It's been a couple of years since I've ordered a halfmoon cake, but the previous cakes I've purchased have been so beautiful, and I've always raved about Gingerbread's halfmoon cakes. This morning, they were running a bit behind with my order and I feel that it reflects in the work. When I called after seeing the decoration, I was assured that the frosting is always smoothed down as opposed to having a full boarder, and I felt very brushed off. For $35, I was surprised as I feel like the price has gone up & I know other local bakeries are charging $10 less for the same product, but it was worth it for me based on how beautiful they always do with the decorating. Attaching images of two of the prior cakes I've purchased (beautifully decorated) compared to today's $70 order. I don't know what I was expecting when I called, but I'm not sure I expected to have someone tell me I was wrong and that this is the standard for their decorating.

9 am on Sunday I went in there to get some chocolate covered fingers and apart from 6 halfmoons, 2 raspberry danishes, some blueberry muffins and some cookies, all the shelves were basically cleaned out! Nothing! This is at 9 AM! Although the girls that work there had nothing to do with it, I asked them why they ran out? I asked "Don't the owners know that these items are popular and in demand and that people are still coming in want to buy these things and they should have them available and maybe make MORE?!!! I asked "Don't the owners want to make money?!" I mean...COME ON people! It's a NO BRAINER!!! It's BASIC MATH!!! I've never seen such poor planning and I don't know how they stay in business. They were open from 7 AM until 2 PM. They should be open from 7 AM until 8 AM if THAT'S how they want to roll!! It's called supply and demand!

My family has ordered baked goods from Gingerbread for the past few years for all of our special events, and every cake / cupcake has been consistently delicious and beautifully decorated! Will continue coming here for many years to come!

Gingerbread bake shop is the best bakery in Oneida County. They have the best cakes, icing, and half moons. We connected with Jaime to get a cake baked for our wedding. It came out beautiful! We went with layers of raspberry and lemon cake with raspberry cream and buttercream icing. It was absolutely delicious. They don’t use artificial coloring which is a plus! I HIGHLY recommend Gingerbread Bake Shop for all baked goods and beautiful wedding cakes.
